Temenggor Lake · Perak, Malaysia

Cradled by 130 million years of rainforest.

Temmengor sits within a 130-million-year-old rainforest — older than the Amazon — where natural filtration from primary jungle feeds the lake with pristine freshwater year-round. We have been entrusted with this ecosystem, and we farm accordingly: low density, zero antibiotics, and ASC certified since 2013.

The Environment

Where the fish are raised matters

Temmengor Lake is surrounded by the Royal Belum State Park, one of the oldest tropical rainforests on earth. The lake’s water is naturally filtered through 130 million years of undisturbed primary jungle, creating conditions that most aquaculture operations can only simulate artificially.

The protected area spans over 117,000 hectares of contiguous primary forest — a biodiversity corridor that remains one of the last intact wilderness areas in Peninsular Malaysia. Our farm operates within this environment under strict conservation oversight, ensuring that what we take from the lake, we give back through responsible stewardship.

Water Quality

Natural filtration through primary rainforest delivers consistently clean, mineral-rich freshwater to our cages — no artificial treatment required.
